The President's
Volunteer Service Awards
Crown Jewels has been
approved as an official
certifying organization
for the President's
Volunteer Service
Awards.
So, how does your child
receive these awards?
1. If you are over
14, go to the
Presidential Volunteer
Service Awards site.
Create a free account
and track your hours.
Whenever you do
community service, you
will need to enter it
with the DATE.
2. When you
register, select Crown
Jewels as the certifying
organization who will be
certifying your hours.
You will need our Record
of Service key which is:
GTF-34806
If you are NOT
over 14, then you must
keep track of your hours
yourself and turn them
in to Cara by December
31, 2010. You must
be sure you have the
DATE of each community
service endeavor and
that you keep track of
the actual hours.
Please keep track of
your hours - the
presidential awards are
based on number of hours
in a 12 month period
(the Lifetime Award is
for over a lifetime),
and include an official
President's Volunteer
Service Award lapel pin,
a personalized
certificate of
achievement, a
congratulatory letter
from the President of
the United States and a
letter from the
President's Council on
Service and Civic
Participation.
We will present the award to you
at our next annual national pageant.
Community service cannot be court ordered, nor
may you receive pay for your service.
What award do you
qualify for? See
below!
Your hours for 2011 are
due December 31, 2010.
